This 3-day itinerary combines two of Tanzania's greatest wildlife experiences with one of Africa's most extraordinary cultural encounters. Day 1 takes you to Tarangire National Park for its legendary elephant gatherings. Day 2 is a full descent into the Ngorongoro Crater — the world's most concentrated Big Five destination. Day 3 offers something completely different: a guided visit to Lake Eyasi to spend time with the Hadzabe people, one of the world's last true hunter-gatherer communities, still living as their ancestors did for tens of thousands of years. This is Tanzania beyond the standard safari itinerary.
Morning flight from Zanzibar. Transfer to Tarangire National Park for afternoon game drive — elephants, lions, wild dogs and 550+ bird species. Overnight at a comfortable Tarangire lodge.
Early morning transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend into the crater floor for a full day of game viewing inside the world's largest intact caldera. The Big Five, black rhino, flamingos and enormous hyena clans. Return to crater rim lodge for dinner.
Morning drive to Lake Eyasi for an extraordinary cultural experience — guided visit with the Hadzabe, one of the world's last remaining hunter-gatherer communities. Afternoon return to Arusha, evening flight to Zanzibar.
