Airport Transfer & Flight to Mikumi
Shared transfer from your Zanzibar resort to the airport. Board your scheduled light aircraft flight for a scenic 45-minute flight directly to Mikumi National Park airstrip. Your guide and 4x4 cruiser are waiting on arrival.
Mikumi Game Drive & Lodge Check-In
Spend the afternoon tracking elephants, giraffes, lions, and hippos across the Mkata Floodplain. Enjoy a hot bush lunch mid-drive, then check in to your overnight safari lodge as the sun sets over the plains.
Sunrise Game Drive — Mikumi
Rise early for a sunrise game drive when predators are most active. Scan open grasslands for lion prides, leopards, and wild dog packs before the midday heat sets in. Return to the lodge for a full breakfast.
Transfer to Udzungwa Mountains
After checkout, your guide drives you approximately 1.5 hours along a scenic route to the Udzungwa Mountains. Check in to your guesthouse near the park gate and prepare your gear for the hike the next morning.
Sanje Waterfall Trek
Set off at dawn through lush rainforest alongside an armed park ranger. Trek to the stunning Sanje Waterfalls — a two-tiered cascade plunging over 170 metres. Spot Udzungwa red colobus monkeys and rare forest birds along the trail.
Return Flight to Zanzibar
Enjoy a final hot lunch before your drive back to the nearest airstrip for your return flight to Zanzibar. Your shared transfer vehicle returns you safely to your resort doorstep.
