Tour Plan
Day 1: Dar es Salaam – Mikumi National Park
Depart early from Dar es Salaam and embark on a scenic drive through Morogoro to Mikumi National Park (approx. 4–5 hours). Upon arrival, check in at your lodge or tented camp and enjoy lunch.
In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Mkata Floodplain, a wildlife-rich area renowned for sightings of elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, and predators such as lions.
Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: Full-Day Safari in Mikumi
After an early breakfast, embark on a full-day game drive exploring Mikumi’s diverse habitats. Drive through open savannahs and acacia woodlands where you may encounter hippos, crocodiles, impalas, warthogs, and possibly elusive wild dogs.
Stop for a picnic lunch inside the park, then continue your afternoon exploration toward the hippo pools and bird-rich areas.
Return to the lodge before sunset for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 3: Morning Safari – Return to Dar es Salaam
Enjoy an early morning game drive for final wildlife sightings while the animals are most active. Return to the lodge for breakfast, check out, and begin the drive back to Dar es Salaam, arriving by afternoon.
