Booking Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Mikumi Zanzibar Safaris. These payment terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with us. We encourage you to read them carefully before confirming your safari.
1. Booking & Confirmation
A minimum deposit of 30–50% of the total tour cost is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
The remaining balance must be paid no later than 7 days before the start of your safari, unless otherwise agreed.
Bookings made within 7 days of the departure date must be paid in full at the time of booking.
2. Accepted Payment Methods
We accept:
Bank Transfer
Mobile Money (M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, Airtel Money)
Credit/Debit Cards (with applicable processing fees)
Cash (for local bookings)
Note: All transaction fees (bank charges or mobile money fees) must be covered by the client.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Client Cancellations:
30+ days before tour date: Full refund minus bank charges
15–29 days before tour date: 50% refund
7–14 days before tour date: 25% refund
Less than 7 days: No refund
No-shows or same-day cancellations:
100% of the total booking amount is non-refundable.
4. Changes to Bookings
Changes to confirmed bookings (dates, number of travelers, or package type) must be requested at least 7 days in advance and are subject to availability.
Additional costs may apply if changes affect flight schedules or park entry fees.
5. Cancellations by Mikumi Zanzibar Safaris
In the unlikely event that we must cancel your tour due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. weather, safety, government restrictions), you will receive:
A full refund, or
The option to reschedule the safari at no extra charge
6. Liability Disclaimer
Mikumi Zanzibar Safaris is not liable for:
Delays or cancellations caused by airlines, weather, road conditions, or external providers.
Personal injuries, illness, loss, or damage to personal belongings.
We recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance that covers medical, cancellation, and personal items.
